Rapid Assessment for Brain Impairment and Brain Disease
Concussion
mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI) or ‘concussion’ affects 56 million people globally per year.
Up to 50% of patients will not be fully recovered within six months and approximately 25% will not be able to resume work or study at the same level as before.
Failure to diagnose and manage concussion has long term economic and social consequences.
Concussion (mTBI) diagnosis is difficult and very subjective.
People carry on daily activities, risking their health often not knowing they have concussion.
In contact sports players are subject to experiencing a concussion with few portable and objective solutions to support pitch-side assessment.

Parkinson's disease
Parkinson's disease (PD) is the second most common neurodegenerative disease after Alzheimer's.
Over 10 million people worldwide live with PD, with more than 1% of people over 70 affected.
Early stage Parkinson’s disease is difficult to diagnose with no specific objective test.
The number of people living with Parkinson's Disease in Europe today is expected to double to 2.4 million by 2030.

Our mission and vision
We have developed, a handheld medical device for the rapid assessment and evaluation of brain impairment and brain disease. The device is unique in targeting a little-known physiological window into brain activity.
Our mission is to release the power of this biomarker into routine clinical use. Ultimately, we see the device being widely used in a range of conditions, including TBI, Parkinson’s Disease, stroke, and other degenerative brain diseases. In the short term, we will apply our technology to help radically improve the objectivity, accuracy and speed of diagnosis in mTBI and Parkinson’s Disease.

Our Solution
Head Diagnostics is developing innovative technology and an associated handheld medical device for the diagnosis of concussion (mTBI) and Parkinson’s Disease (PD). The aim of our technology is to provide for a rapid assessment and assist clinicians to make an objective diagnosis of brain disease and brain impairment.
Company hISTORY
We are a life sciences technology company based in Dublin, Ireland. After many years of research, we have developed our technology and a handheld medical device for the evaluation of brain impairment and brain disease. Currently we are performing clinical investigations to determine the utility and efficacy of the device and technology.
